This is a series of case studies that looks into the tectonics of an architectural precedent and the formal analysis of a fashion garment. The architectural precedent that my partner and I looked into was the Gando Primary School, while the fashion garment was the Rick Owens Spring/Summer 2024 Women’s Look #35. From the two precedents, I have concluded the idea of the repeated column work, which was repeated in a rhythm in order to support the overall structure, and the sense of fabric drapping from a series of rigid structures from the fashion garment.

The tectonics and formal studies were later matriculated into a tectonics system where the formation of curved surfaces were bounded by the series of stacked grids.
