System-Ground Construct

ARC 207 - Exercise

The “Ground System Construct” turns the analysis of the landform “atoll” and the precedent building “Chichu Art Museum” by Japanese architect Tadao Ando into that resembles the two. Since the analysis of the two is rather similar to that of the children’s toy, something that has 3-dimensional geometrical shapes that could be inserted into a box from the openings with corresponding shapes, the ground system construct were designed as modules in various filleted edges but arranged and made in various ways that allows itself to be played around, just like the children’s toy.
